7:00 PM - 9:00 PM

We know that helping your teen prepare for life after high school is challenging. There's so much to know about navigating applications, finances, the emotional rollercoasters of graduation, college and gap year programs, and parenting young adults. We want to support you as you support your kids. Our Temple Jeremiah adult learning committee invites you to attend an informative and purpose-filled program designed specifically for families with high school age students.

April 29th

Navigating the College Admissions Journey: The steps along the college admissions path and how to help your high schooler set themselves up for success! This will be presented by Amy Levin, an MBA and Independent Educational Consultant and owner of Amy Levin College Consulting

What You Need to Know When Your Child Turns 18: When your child turns 18, she/he/they will legally be considered an adult. Attorneys from the Shire Law Group will discuss your rights regarding access to their financial, medical, and educational records and what steps you can and will want to take to receive the proper authorization you may need.

What’s Next? Breaking the Mold: Exploring Non-Traditional Paths After High School: This session takes a deep dive into innovative post-graduation paths, with a special spotlight on the Gap Year experience for post high school students to embrace growth, discovery, and success beyond the classroom. Barb Kite, of the Gap Year Association, brings her 45 years of experience in education to uncover this path less traveled, which could unlock great growth and direction for your child.
