Revisiting Sinai - Taught by Rabbi Cohen
Past SessionsTuesday, June 14, 2022 • 15 Sivan 5782 - 7:00 PM - 8:00 PM
Tuesday, June 7, 2022 • 8 Sivan 5782 - 7:00 PM - 8:00 PM
Together we will explore texts that reveal the rabbinic imagination and flights of fancy thinking about what really (or could have or should have) happened when God gave the Torah to Moses to give to the Children of Israel. What triggered the imagination of our sages of blessed memory and how do these stories help us understand our own relationship to Torah in the 21st Century as Reform Jews?
No experience is necessary and all of the text will be in English. This class will be in person with Zoom access available.
