The Psalmist wrote: "Let my entire being, body and soul, praise God." This beautiful verse from Psalm 150 expresses our theme for the upcoming Days of Awe. To guide us in our preparation, we will offer a two-session study. The first session will focus on Rosh HaShanah and how the shofar and the liturgy surrounding it call us to use our soul/breath as the link between us and the divine. The second session will be devoted to Yom Kippur. Yom Kippur, we spend the day completing an accounting of our soul and how we can better encounter one another as a community and internally create a stronger bond with a divine in ourselves and in one another. The sessions will be facilitated jointly by Rabbi Cohen, Rabbi Heaps, and Cantor Mendelson.
