Kabbalat Shabbat, Veterans Day & Kristallnacht with Adult Choir
Friday, November 11, 2022 • 17 Cheshvan 5783
6:30 PM - 7:30 PMSchreibman SanctuaryThe night of November 9th, 1938, is known as the "night of broken glass." Synagogues and Jewish places of business were torched, shattered, and many Jews were killed, and thus began the roundup of over 30,000 Jews to Concentration camps, where they would later be liberated by American Veterans. Join us as we pay homage to this event with music by German composer Lewandowski, whose beautiful, melodic sounds were being sung and prayed for their worship at this very moment in time.
