Temple Jeremiah is a participating member of Family Promise, a national organization that helps families experiencing homelessness to achieve sustainable independence. These families are like ours, but circumstances have brought them to a point of financial crisis. Temple Jeremiah is a founding member of Family Promise Chicago North Shore, a coalition of interfaith houses of worship that host these families on a rotating basis.

Family Promise is going to look different this summer. From July 12-19, 2020, the week Temple Jeremiah would have hosted program guests, the three Family Promise co-chairs will order, prepare, and deliver food and grocery store gift cards for the families. While we always appreciate our volunteers’ hands-on participation, health and safety concerns due to the COVID-19 pandemic require this cautious approach.

Please help support this effort with a monetary contribution. Gifts of any amount are welcome, although we encourage you to consider amount equal to your expenditure if you prepared a meal. You may donate here or mail a check payable to Temple Jeremiah and note Family Promise in the memo.
